Suspension Upgrade /WHEELS and Brakes

greetings.,

I would like ti upgrade my suspension and breaks... what would be a reasonable upgrade besides going through the usual change of the shocks... Some have Suggested to swap out my rear end suspension set with a set from a 930! they say they have bigger brakes and i have more options in the future for aftermaket stuff! my car is displacing alot of horse power now and its eating my stock brakes like there is no tommorrow...
and where can i get a set of 930 suspension

thanks

First, what do you have? What do intend to use the car for? Daily driving, sunny weekends, or racing? For most types of driving, urethane suspension bushings, better shocks (Bilstien or Koni), and an upgrade to slotted or drilled rotors with GOOD pads (not your typical parts-store specials), stainless lines, and a thorough flush and refill w/DOT 4 brake fluid will transform any Porsches' handling and braking without seriously degrading the ride comfort (but there are some minor trade-offs, like squeaky bushings). If you install new pads, be SURE to break them in properly, or you'll waste your money and be very unhappy with them. BUT--before you decide to spend a lot of money, take the car to a Porsche specialist in your area and make SURE your stock system is working correctly-stock Porsche brakes are some of the best on the planet, and it may very well be that there's something not right with yours, and fixing it will save you a lot of money, hassle, and time. Converting to a 930 suspension is NOT for the timid or mechanically-challenged---(and it sure as hell ain't cheap!)

Hello.

Saw post for upgrade suspension setup for your 912. I have a great upgrade for your 912 and it still keeps it in a stock catageory incase you ever want to club race or scca. It is a complete suspension from a 1967 - 1973 911S, alunimum calipers (rebuilt with SS pistons), Koni struts and Koni rear shocks. This is a complete suspension setup, everything. Even all 4 rotors are vented and in like new condition. It is not hard to drop your setup and bolt this back up under. It does include the rear trailing arms but you probably would just want to bolt the larger rear rotors and calipers onto your existing trailing arms. This set-up is real nice and you will not believe the improved breaking it will provide. I think the pad size on the front is about two and 1/2 larger than what you have now and the rears are about twice the size.

Please reply if you are interested. I will take an offer on the parts, they are real nice. I bought these to upgrade my 912/911 project but sold the car and got back into 356's.
