Question Weber question

How much would it cost to change my main venturis from 28mm to 32mm on Weber 40 IDF's? Also where can I find a good (cheap)place to buy them? Thanks!

Hi Joshua,
I just purchased a Weber 40 IDF upgrade kit from CB Performance www.cbperformance.com. The kit includes new gaskets, o rings etc. larger main venturis and horizontal spray bars that replace the secondary bulls eye venturi. CB doesn't recommend the kit for smaller displacement engines (1600c). The larger venturi's create slower velicity through the carb at low rpm's, giving you less bottom end power. With a big bore kit or with up to 2 litre VW engines, the power gain is through the full rev range.
I would like to tell you all about my huge gains in HP from the kit, but I am waiting to get the heads back so I can put the engine back in.
The installation of the kit is quick and easy. It cost around $130.
