Hi everyone,
Next weekend, I hope to install collapsable pushrod tubes in my 67 912. My pushrod tubes on the 1-2 side are leaking fairly badly. Has anyone out there successfully installed these collapsable pushrod tubes? I know that you don't have to remove the heads to do this, but I am not sure about the heat exchangers or the flapper boxes. I am confident that I can get the rocker rack off (and back on again!)and the pushrod tubes out (and back in again), but I am not sure that I can get the new tubes in through the flapper box. I would really like to hear from someone who has replaced their pushrod tubes with collapsable ones. Thanks, Jon |

Hi Jon,
Check the link below. Pelican has an article on installing collapsable oil tubes in a 911 engine. Hope it helps. It has been my experience when working on my P-car, if something is in the way and I can remove it without much problem, get it out of the way. The last thing that you want are leaky NEW oil tubes. Good Luck! http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/911_oil_return_tube/911_oil_return_tube.htm Adam White 68 912 Coupe. |
