Hello, My '66 has a black lever down and to the right of the speedo. It travels left to right. What should it do? Is it passenger air or fuel related? Next, My dash is painted like the car body. No aluminum or stainles steel "trim". Is this possible. I usally see the bright bar across the whole dash...

Its the defroster lever. To the right turns it on, to the left turns it off.

Ah, by the mid 60's they were getting tired of wiping the windshield from the inside with your hand... Clever Germans.

hi there,
right the lever under the speedo is a mechanical "open/close"-lever for the air duct from the front (hood). to the question with the painted dash: the early 912īs (65 modell) are equipped with the painted dash, like the porsche 356. i asked the same question a few topics ago, but no response... my vin# 451180 greetings from the home country of porsche (germany) |
