I got my freshly rebuilt transmission back from Werks II last night, along with a new clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing, etc. Now I just need to put it all together and bolt it back to the engine once I get my flywheel back from being machined. I've never done this before, so can anyone help me out and give me some advice so I do this right? Only 9 days until German AutoFest, and I really really want to take the 912 there.

To help you line everything up properly, buy a clutch plate alignment tool. They are made of plastic and not very expensive. It centers the clutch behind the pressure plate, allowing you to push the transmission into the engine with the proper alignment.
It can save you a lot of time. ------------------ Adam White 68 912 Coupe |
