Post Newbie, First post, Help

Hi everyone,

OK I have just become a proud owner of a 67 912.

The car is currently running a 1600 VW engine (may well be changed in the near future) my problem is the rev counter, it doesnt work. Though when you turn the engine off it briefly flicks into life as the engine dies.

Anyone got any ideas on where to start looking, is it likly to be the guage itself or the way it has been wired up or simply incompatability with the VW engine?

any help gratefully recieved

Alex

Is there an aftermarket ignition on the car? (i.e., MSD, etc.)
