Post Need the - "Best 912 Manual "

Thanks to your help and advise, I am now the super proud owner of a '69 - 912. I now need some more advice. What is the best going manual, for me to 'work on' and keep this car up ?? ( I once had a VW and loved the "how to keep your VW alive ) (I realize this is NOT a VW, but wonder if there is a equaly good book out there..
Thanks....

Congrats! What vin# & have you registered at www.912Registry.org?

I pulled my engine for the first time this summer and appreciated Harry Pellow's "Secrets of the Inner Circle" If you can skip the discussions on nuclear energy it is quite informative I also have Haynes, but it is not as informative. The factory manual is pretty good, but I have not had much time to explore or use them.

go to www.hcpresearch.com for Harry's Publications.

Welcome! Scott, 69 912 #3078

Hello,
I have several, I bought my 69 / 912 in June and I immediately went about the job of finding every bit of written info I could aquire. The "Porsche 912 owners workshop manual" is helpful also the "Porsche 912 handbook" has useful info. I found a "Pet" cd on the net and use it often for diagrams and pictures, look to Ebay for that under Porsche Manuals. Finally, also on Ebay I purchase a complete set of shop manuals for around $100.00. They are a set of 4 large binders with a smaller shop repair manual. They have alot, part numbers, pictures, diagrams, etc.
This site and he net in general has tons of information on the 912. When I really get stumped I do a Google search and usually find it.
Good luck with the car,
Chas.

Thumbs up

I just got a copy of Harry Pellow's "Maestro's Little Spec Book." It's a great reference. I'm probably going to get a copy of SAecrets Of The Inner Circle next.

best 912 manual, I'd almost say this BBS. all problems I have had someone has had on this board or 911 board. I luk most of the time, but this BBS is great. The Maestro (call him) and his books are the best.
