Need help identifying gauge....

Took this out of a project car - 66 912 U.S. spec. car which had been converted to a 911 once in its past, then back to 4cyl. Gauge seems to work, but I'm not certain if it was factory wired as all of the wire ends going to the gauges had new ends put on them at one time. It's the same size as the clock and was in the far left (driver's view) of the dash. I'll cross-post this to 912/911 boards. Any help appreciated.

Checking Dr. Johnson's 911 & 912 authenticity book (covers 1964- 1973) there is a very thorough section on gauges. Nowhere in this section does it picture this gauge or mention a gauge that has a scale for AMPs. The green lettering indicates it's a pre-1968 (they switched to white lettering then) but doesn't look like anything from a 1966 912. He shows the 3 gauge and 5 gauge early 912 dash and mentions an optional "ambient temp" gauge but that wasn't a combination gauge. Maybe someone else out there has this gauge also?

Places like N Hollywood speedo and Palo Alto will make you a combo gauge in any configuration you like. They will also silkscreen the new faceplates to match the original gauges so you can't really tell it's age by color. This one's housing matches that of the original gas gauge. I am thinking of having something like this done on mine to replace the non-working clock with. If you are asking so you can find the right pressure sender, call one of the above VDO specialists. They may have you pull the oil pressure gauge from the housing and give them a part # or they might even need it to recalibrate it to a newer sender. Either way, it's a cool gauge.
