67 912 valve retainers

A few weeks ago I ordered a bunch of hardware from
parts obsolete to rebuild my 912 heads. When I was
shimming the valves/springs I noticed that the
retainers that I was sent were much different than the
four original retainers that I had. The new retainers
were about a centimeter deeper than the originals and
caused the valves to be compressed very little when
installed, even with a few millimeters worth of shims.
These retainers obviously would not work and it was
impossible to set the valve springs to the proper
installed length (~41mm). I was wondering what the problem is here. Was I accidentally sent 911 valve retainers. Where else can I get valve retainers (stock). I have contacted parts obsolete but they haven't called back. thanks.
