Hi i am from Singapore. After overhauling my engine, i see some oil leakage from the flywheel main bearing, and my mechanic have checked the flywheel area and adviced me that the main seal surface is worn. Due to expensive shipping cost, is there any other alternative that i can weld or resurface the area. But my mechanic was saying that if i do welding on the flywheel it will affect the perfomance of the flywheel. Thanks!! Please advice...

Daniel-
Just get a different flywheel. I've seen this before and it's strange. Sometimes a seemingly good flywheel will not be able to seal. I Don't know why it happens, we just swapped the flywheel it was fixed.. If there is some kind of trouble with your engine case itself, that's different- and in that case you may need to use some kind of sealer (glue) on the seal when you install it. Good luck! Bob O
