912E across country- What to bring?

A friend of mine desparately wants my 912E, and I've agreed to sell it to him. He would rather drive it from Washington to his home in Tennessee than have the car shipped. The car has been totally reliable for me, but I'm wondering what the Pelicanhead experts would suggest for a little package of spare parts and tools to bring. Probably difficult to find knowledgable 912 help in West Undershirt Kansas or thereabouts.

Any suggestions?

alternator belt, dissy cap and rotor arm, maybe leads and plugs. Possibly some rocker cover gaskets incase they decide to spring a leak.
Tub of oil
Fuses

Don't want to over do it

Check the 912bbs, Dave L. posted something similar there and he is always one step ahead of everyone...

Having done oh, 8 or 9 coast to coast motorcycle journies on old BMW air cooled motorcycles, I know exactly what one needs for a cross country sortie:

A tooth brush and a credit card. I used to duct tape them to my gas tanks...

Thanx, guys. I'm going to order these parts here at Pelican, buy a couple of tools, and throw in a roll of duct tape! I want to make sure my friend has a nice trip. He's a nice guy, and excited about owning a Porsche again.
He's on his own for the credit card, though......

I've driven a 912E across the country. I'm sure it would be fun in any car, but I enjoyed it in the 912E. I've done it a couple times. Take a camera, too.

Eighteen hundred miles so far, and he is enjoying the car.

Arkansas to California 912E 2000 Mi.

I took a adjustable shower curtain rod to use as a cruise control. I stuck it on the gas & back to the parking brake. Worked Great!! Kinda hairy somtimes though. You have to pay attention I felt really small on I-40 around all the 18-Wheelers, because I was! Not recomended for Summer, too damn hot, black car, no air, triple digits. I wimped out and did the desert at nite. I prefer cross country in the comfort of my big GMC 2500 Sierra. My Black Beauty didn't miss a lick though, amazing I have over 214,000 on her. Daily driver.
