912/356 doghouse shroud is a VW part!!!
Yet another example of the ingenuity of the Porsche engineers to not reinvent the wheel!
 I'm sure any experienced VW/Porsche mechanics recognized this decades ago. |

If you look close in this photo you can see the round patches over the VW sparkplug wire holder holes (A) and the remnants of the spotweld ground off the wire holder (D).
