Yes, but you'll need to mess with the flywheel/clutch to make it all work nicely.
You don't need adapter plates for the crankcase to bellhousing |

Yes it will, you would want to get the flywhell that is on the 914 engine (same as the type 4 Engine), the ring gear is offset to compensate for the the 901 transmission's starter location. The bus clutch will work fine although you might consider a better clutch if money is available.
