912 head question
Hi, im bolting in some 356 heads until I get my orig heads rebuilt. Problem is- the 2 holes in the head which allow for the lower inner stud nuts are a hair too small, I see no reason why I cannot have them machined open a few thousandths to get the clearance. Also it seems like this engine relies on the o-ring to keep the torque for these 2, actually all 4 of these lower stud nuts. Any thoughts?

No, the rockers seem to line up correctly though. We found out that it is not the top shoulder that torques the head down but the bottom of the nut. Are the nuts that came different for different years as it seems like its only the 2 lowerinside studs that are just a hair smaller?
