86mm Piston & Cylinder

Hi 912 Guys. I have an 65 912 and I´d like to get more power from the engine

Does anybody know a trustable dealer who sells JE Pistons with AA aluminium cylinders? I have looked on ebay, but a friend buy at his shop and the parts are not
as good as discribed (clutch with flyweel didn`t fit and he sends only the cylinders, not the pistons). I´m not interested in such trubble.

Thanks for your help

best regards Holger

Visit the 912 Registry and ask or look to the vendors list,

You have to Register on the 912BBS. Then the link section will appear up at the top. It doesn't cost anything to register the 912 BBS is free. Try Will at CSP. He is on the link list.

I have a set of the pistons/cylinders that Will at CSP sells, and so far with just about 1000 miles on the engine it's running beautifully and has a great balance of power. I stayed pretty stock with everything else in the hopes of having a really long-lived engine - and heard from the builder that the P&C set was really easy to work with and extremely well matched and balanced. Pretty similar to Shasta (i.e. forged pistons) and quite a bit less expensive than Mahle.

Thanks for helping. It´s nice to hear that the p&c runs without problems. Some of the 356 and 912 drivers at my location use them but not much time.

best regards

Holger
