heater sliders
I've noticed on my 69 912 that there are no heat slider controls down by the floor. Did the controls change for the '69 year? or did a PO remove them?

They might be in the dash. The 69 had a heater fan

Heater slides were eliminated in 68, at least for US models and I assume Euros too. Heat is provided from under the dash via a blower system and venting, (up and down) actually it works quite well.

Actually they were not eliminated in 68. I had a 68 the was US factory imported and it still had the heater vents on the rails.
