If you are asking if a 25 or 30 amp regulator will work on a 55 amp alternator, the answer is no. The best choice is to use an internally regulated, so called "1 wire" alternator...Mark

Try switching to a 914 alt with the 914 volt reg. That is what I did for my Type 4 install.
