Possible new 912 in the family.
I am looking at purchasing a 1969 912 Targa that is in decent shape. Accept that the motor has not been started in 5 years. Kind of a garage find. The owner just has not had time to even drive it. The motor is original and the car looks okay. I do know that the motor ran fine when parked. I have done some research, but I am not sure about value on theses cars. The market seems to be picking up, but I am not sure what is a good amount to pay for this car. Hmmmm

You will get a greater response here: 912 Help
Is the paint the original color? How much rust? Are the wheels 14" or 15"? My best guess based on 1 picture is no more than $8-10,000 unless you can determine that the engine is good. If not rusty and turned into a good driver, as much as $20,000. |

$26K+ according to the Hagerty valuation estimator...
Times have changed; for a 1969 912 Targa, valuation range $26,000 to $59,800 as of December 2012
Here's the Hagerty valuation link: Classic Car Value
