912 `69 Sound deadner on firewall
Hi all
I have a very original 912 from 1969, on which I just rebuild the engine. I`m going to drive it a lot with the kids on the back seats, which leeds me to this question: I want to put some sound deadner on the firewall, to keep the noise in the engine bay. What is the best? It must look or be as original ![]() Ole |

You can buy the sound deadening foam-like pad from the various sources. Others have used a foam / metallic foil pad instead (doesn't crumble as bad).
If your engine is out, what I would suggest is something like Quietcar or some other roll-on sound dampening and then stick on the pad for looks (and added sound insulation).
