Question Driver side door

I just finished a complete rebuilding of my 69 Targa top and what a job all I could save was the frame!!!. After installing the finished top and checking how the top edge of the door glass contacted the Targa weatherstripping seal I discovered the drivers door is about an 1/8" lower at the rear than the passenger door. The door does slant down at the back and does not line up with the top of the rear fender by the same amount and I noticed the door would always jump up a bit when I closed it.

I plan to slightly loosen the two drivers side door hinges attached to the post and raise the door up accordingly. Has anyone done this before? What am in store for? It sounds simple enough but Murphy's Law may prevail (usually does). Any suggestions are welcome!

The shop manual calls out 9/64" to 11/64" clearance at the bottom of the door above the sill but I have not checked this yet.

Thanks,
RonD
