912 Newbie
Hello gentlemen....I'm over from the 911 forum for some info from the 912 guru's. I've had my 911 for about a year and a half and really have enjoyed getting it sorted out. A few months back I drove a really nice 912 and kinda got the 912 bug, it handled so well.
Anyway, I may be looking at a 67 soon that needs restoration, but at first blush looks pretty good. I know about the rust issues (batt box, front and suspension pan, floor pans, doors and rockers), but would appreciate other hints as to what to look for. For instance I don't know where to find the engine number and to determine if it is matching to the chassis. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Check out the 912 Registry BBS---Tons of info and several very knowledgable members. Do a search for such things as pre-purchase inspection (PPI). also checkout Harry Pellow's books..... 912 Board

The 912 BBS also has for sale and wanted postings... and don't forget to consider the 912E as well.
Hope you find a great 912.
