Could somebody help me please ?
A friend of mine is going to buy a 912 tomorrow,
but he wants to confirm it's a matching number and color car :cool:

motor #1281882,
chassis #12800307,
color slate grey

Both engine and chassis are for 68. The chassis # is for an early 68. The 30th chassis for 68 and the engine is for a little later a 616/39. The # for slate grey is 6801 found on the door jam.

You have to get the Kardex from Porsche America to be sure.

Slate grey is 6801, look on the plate by the drivers door hinges 912 Registry :: Factory Paint Code Table

1280030 is a '68 Karmann coupe and the motor is in the range for a '68 US car, does the seller have a Porsche factory Certificate of Authenticity?
