Smooth on throttle - hesitant when coasting?
Hi,
Been fiddling with the carbs as I could smell that the car had been running rich. I've managed to find some sort of harmony with good response throughout the revs and no flatspot. Really sweet - actually.! ![]() If I am determined and firm in pressing the pedal - all is well - same goes for no throttle at all when decelerating - but inbetween those two - when coasting with " a sustaining throttle" (english is not my first language - I hope you understand what Im getting at?) I get a somewhat hesitant "vibration" - as if the engine is stumbling and not knowing what to do... As so eloquently put by The Clash - "Should I stay or should I go?" ![]() Whats causing this? Synchronization? Throttle linkage beeing slightly off? Tips n tricks appreciated!! Thanks / Chris |

I recently had a similar problem. Car was running all around fine. Then developed a miss when lighly accellerating. Ran fine under full throttle and on coasting (no throttle). Pulled the idle jets and found one was plugged. Cleaned and replaced and all is well. Total time about 15 minutes.
