Question determing value of a 912

considering selling... I need to find the value of my car...
912,
130,000 miles,
engine rebuilt at 108,000 miles,
15" alloy wheels,
rear wiper,
no dents,
good paint job - white,
front air dam,
driven every day - runs great - looks great.
Is there a Kelly Blue Book-style site that can help me determine the value? I think it's priceless!! ~jg

Determing the value of a 912 (or any collector car for that matter) is sometimes a hard thing to do. A good place to start is here:

http://www.912registry.org/faqs/value.htm

You didn't mention the year of the car, or if it had a 5 spd or 4spd transmission. Some options (like a 5 pod dash on pre-67 cars - I think the 5 pod was standard on the 67-69 912) can also increase value to a particular buyer (is it a targa ? etc, you get the idea). More options sometimes equates to greater value.

Excellence magazine's October 2000 magazine has a Market Price write up that may also be a good source of info ($8 per back issue). I'm looking at buying a few Excellence back issues that have 912 content as I'm looking to buy my first Porsche (probably a 912).

Anyhoo, it sounds like you have a very nice 912. Good luck in finding a new home for it.

determing value of a 912

and then there's my spelling! argh

It's a 67, 912, 5 speed, black interior, solid wood steering wheel - not a targa. Very sweet car.

Thanks for the info.
