need some advice

I have a '68 912 that I need to sell and I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to where might be the best place to advertise? Someone suggested ebay to me but I am not sure if that would be the best place. The car is in very good condition, I am the third owner and it is a CA. car with low mileage. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Mark

Porsche Crest 912

What do you want for it? got any pictures you could post? this site might be a good place to start.
I also see Porsche's of all types on eBay, check them out.
Good luck,
Chas.

Hey there Mark,

First, you might try to advertise in the local newspapers or weekly classifieds (i.e. The Recycler). I've noticed that porsche for sale ads in general have increased now that spring is here.

Posting a forsale listing on the http://www.912registry.org website (click on the swap meet button) is probably the best way to reach a potential 912 buyer. When I posted my want ad on the site I got several responses including one from a seller in my hometown (going to look at another 912 this weekend).

Check to see if your region's PCA has a classifed section:
http://www.pca.org/regions/index.html
This is a good way to reach local porsche enthusiasts.

Give it some time. Since you're selling a car in good condition with low mileage, you shouldn't have a hard time finding a buyer.

If all the above fail, then try ebay.

Hope this helps,

Hmmm. There are several places you might try - Harry Pellow, aka "The Maestro" has a supscription based sale service. You can reach him at hcpresearch.com

I used www.classifieds2000.com to buy my 1967 Porsche 912 Targa back in '97. There's also a good site called Highway 1; they have their own cars, but they also list other folks cars. I think the site name is www.highwayone.com

Good luck!

Try 912registry.org, bay912.org, and socal912.org.
