Question wheels?

I was looking for a set of wheels for my 912 targa, and was hoping for info first,
will a pair of 7 inch /15 wheels fit under the fender wells in the back. I am sure the 6 in the front will be fine? ALSO can you tell me the easiest way to set the front down 1 to 2 inches and level it out good thanks timm

Here is a good link to start on the ride height. There are others on this board who have actaully done it and can offer help on that.

I had 8's on the back of my old 69. They fitted but looked far to big for the car. Also had 7's on the front, made the steering quite heavy but they fitted.

I have 16x7s with 205 55 16 tires on the back of my car. At stock height, it just barely fits. When I lower the car, I'm going to have to either roll the fender lips or put 911R flares on the back. I think if I were to do it again I'd go with a 50 series tire.

Hope this helps.

mind is made up? I think

I am pretty sure the best and safest way is 6 /16 all the way around or just stay with a 6 inch wheel. 15 /6. not to mess with the fenders. or it will no longer be, the 68 stock look, or as close as I can come to it. I still need a soft window as it now has a hard glass in the targa but at 2200.00 dollars I will have to wait, It needs latches also. I found the top while cruising for something else, a soft window is harder to bring back to original , no body wants to part with thier stuff, can't blame them
