Thoughts?
Hello!
I bought this car awhile ago.. planing on building it back up again.. But I bought a house instead and it needs some work. After I bought it, I've been lurking on this site since I picked this thing up. And now to get some advice I wanted to post up and Get the thoughts of the best people that knew about this car. I'm trying to figure out If I should part it out, or sell it out right... I know the trans and motor and wheels are worth something.. I just don't know the prices for these kind of things. And I wouldn't like to get ripped off.. Please help! A little info about the car: 1967 912 930 wide body 5-speed 5 gauge dash the car has everything for the most part. IE-motor, trans, brakes, suspension. *This was a "barn find"* The bad... driver side door glass broken (but the rest of the glass is great) Front Suspension Pan is bad rear glass corners are bad as well. I started to take out the interior as well so no seats for carpet for the pics: 1967 Porsche 912 « Razzi: Photo Sharing these where taken the the day I brought it into the shop. Thank you for taking the time and reading this and checking out the car. Keith |

You should go over to the early 911s registry forums. Someone over there will want it.

My $0.02: Id say it depends on how much time and space you have. It's easier to sell it out right, but like most Pcars, you can probably make more parting it out. It also depends on how much you bought the car for. I'd say sell it as a whole, and let the next owner deal with it, and hopefully restore it! Id find out more about the engine, trans, VIN numbers, body panels (fiberglass or metal), and rims (oem or aftermarket). This will help the buyer decide if your asking price is worth it. Good luck and sorry to hear you need to sell it.

I always wonder why when i hear someone say they are afraid of getting "ripped off" and they are the one who sets the price....how can someone else
rip" them (u) off. you are in total control of the "ripping" ???? just do your homework. |
