Big Bore What?????
This came in a box of Mahle 911 Pistons & Cylinders (that I'm seeking help to identify on the 911BBS).
The story goes that a guy bought this set and then later returned them saying they were no longer needed. Ages later it was discovered that one of the 911P&C's had been removed to be replaced by this 912P&C. The guy at the checkout obviously didn't inspect the contents too closely before giving the refund! I wouldn't want to have been him when the boss found out!!! The piston has KS on top, Kolbenschmidt right? But the cylinder has another mark that I can't decifer, any ideas?

Hello
This looks like a P in a Triangle wich is the Porsche Konstruktion AG Trademark. The pic is upside down and the P is styled like the art deco/bauhaus fashion in the 30s If it is a waterfountain in a Triangle then it is the ASPA ( Aspacher Punzwerke ). Grüsse |

Did Porsche make a big bore kit for the 912 engine? Is that the industrial engine kit?

Hello
I never had seen a big bore kit from Porsche. Maybe they testet bigger cylinder units. Best would be to messure the Diameter. The cylinder should have markings for the hight group. The piston should have also some markings showing the size and wight group. Grüsse |
