Porsche/VDO Part #'s

Any way to determine by the part #'s found on the inside of the gauges if they are the correct one's for my car? I've searched this forum and can't (or haven't) find the info.These are what I removed from our '68 912 Targa today;

Speedo (in KM/H) - 911.641.503.00

Tach - 902.741.302.02. 0008

Fuel - 901.741.502.06

Temp - 901.741.501.04

Clock - 901.741.702.02

The color will be one thing. The 68 will be black with the letters white. The instruments will also have a dated on the like ex. 8/67. They will use a bracket for insulation.

In PET, the speedo is listed as being for "speedometer 300 km/h for /50 tyre. It is a 68- 912 speedo.
Tach is correct for a 68 912.
Fuel is correct for a 68 912 w/ a 62 liter fuel tank.
The temp and clock are also correct for a 68 912.

Jaems, Yes, all letters/numbers are white, and yes all had brackets with 2 nuts securing each gauge against back of dash. I am not finding any dates though?

jt912, Thank You for looking into! What/Where is PET? Yes, I'm ignorant (for know!)

John,

The 300Km speedometer will be for a 68 911. The 912 was 200Km.
