Worth Dealing With?

I found that this was a dealer U.S. based, add-on. The car (1968 912 Targa) will be going down for a complete rebuild in the near future. Do you think it is worth keeping in the car due to its age, lack of available parts and freon issues?

It is an interesting period piece. If you have no desire for AC then it probably makes no sense keeping it. I am sure someone will want it should you choose to not install it.
