I'll hazard a few guesses.
It is a 912E, not a 912
Original 4 banger has been replaced with a 6.
Overly detailed for Ebay.
Car has no service records.
Seller is not a Porsche expert.
Whale tail may not be desireable.
I think it has a dash cap possibly indicating a cracked original dash.
Rats next of wires hanging from under the dash.
Puffy visors.
Door panels have seen better days.
Missing door light switch.
Overspray on door tag so something has been repainted.
Just a bunch of liitle things that would concern me buying over the internet.

give e bay a call and ask for verification on the listing... two months ago i came across a p-car they where listing and it turned out to be a scam. when i called they stated that there access to the information was "forbidden" after a long dialog about there responsibility to better control the items they advertize...they took it off. two weeks later it was on again, under a new seller's name. they tell me that these guys are good at what they do... they are able to impute a legitimate seller's info and publish on there site. once you bid they contact you outside e- bay and try to finish using a "paypal" account-also outside of the system. usually giving you a "paypal" link they they supply. the site looks legit...but not

The car doesn't "look" too bad, if you are willing to fix a bunch of little things. It will never be 'original' with so many changes, but if that's not important and you are just looking for a project to play around with it's probably OK, except for the price which I think is too high. There are lots of nicer SC's out there in that price range that are more original.
