Hi
I am interested in a 912 engine from 1969 for my project with no 4095156, 616/40 It also has 117859 stamped on the case under the oil filter My question: is it a 95 or 130 HP engine? Thanks for any help rgds egbert, eggybee@tiscali.nl |

Stock would have been 90 HP. Who know what configuration it is in currently. I would highly doubt it to be 130 HP unless it has had two more cylinders added to it at some point in time.

The hp would be 90 DIN or 105 SAE for a stock 912. The difference between the DIN European and SAE USA was the SAE was hp at the engine and the DIN was hp wheels to the ground.

Just curious, on what is your assumption of a possible 130 hp engine based? All factory912 engines from '65 to '69 have the 90 DIN hp.
