Generator/Fan

I have the generator/ fan assembly out of my 67 912 targa. My problem is i cannot pull the two apart. I have taken out the two bolts supposedly holding them together, but still left on the gennerrator side is what i think a nut the pulleys sit on. Is this a nut or something just pressed on there? Sorry bout the novice ?. Thanks

If you have the large nut off the center shaft that was inside the fan then you're there. This one is a B#$@&^* to get to and torque off.
I have no vice so I put visegrips on both that nut and the hub that you described as holding the pully and persuaded them to turn in opposing directions. With the nut off the fan will come or pry off easy enough. Take note of spacing shims for proper re-assembly.
Good luck
