Chassis 118.0.5371, '68 912 Targa; Maintenance Record
Folks:
A friend gave me the old owner's manual folder for his long-gone '68 912 soft-window Targa, and if the present owner contacts me, he can have it for the cost of shipping. Chassis 118.0.5371, engine 328.1239, delivered 7/11/68 by Vern Hagestad Motor Company in Denver to Richard Collier, Littleton, Colorado. The maroon plastic folder is in grotty condition but also contains the Blaupunkt Frankfurt instruction book and the Spring 1968 edition of the list of US Porsche distributors and dealers. The chassis #/Vin is wrong for a 68 912 Targa. It would have to be 12875371.
The one you are giving us: 11805371 is for a 68 911S coupe. The engine# is also for a 2L 911 engine. You might try the early 911 folks. Last edited by Jaems; 01-31-2014 at 08:58 AM.. |
