flapper box cleanup 1969 coupe
Hello everyone, first post to this forum and need some ideas for a small project
Removed the heater flapper boxes to clean up and replace the cables to the inside. In taking apart the flapper boxes, 2 of the little plastic bearings crumbled apart. The part number is 901-211-255-21. NLA any ideas what to replace with? Thanks Chris |
Is this it?

Chris,
A pic of you car would help :D Check my 10 steps program; Post 1 of http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/589980-cleaning-flapper-boxes.html If the Red Plastic Bearing is only crack, it can be re-use (as I did). I think even a broken one could be JB Welded. Its basically an isolator between the steel body and the retentive clip to relieve friction so it would be easy to fabricate one using hight heat gasket. Thickness does not really matter as the clip can slide down further. Have fun... |
Thanks for the reply.... Yes that is the part I'm looking for. One of them crumbled when I tried to carefully remove. No chance to glue together. Guess I'll have to make one. What was the material you recommended to fabricate?
Thanks chris |
