Dimps,
I use a remote starter switch connected to the yellow wire and then the red, or primary wire just above the regulator. My 69 has a post with 2 or 3 red wires on it that I use. Plug gap is about .024 if I'am not mistaken. I do recomend the Bosch W6BC plugs I use with my hot cam, big bore kit but other use NGK with no problem at all. I have never tried them but I have heard there is an iridium plug out there that works real well in racing engines. Craig www.bay912.org |

I dont think you will need that yellow wire to adj valves. When adj. valves you have to turn the motor backwards with a wrench. Not 100% sure why, but thats what the book says. Might as well turn it to TDC with the wrench. The yellow wire can be touched to the top, left of reg. Hot cam valve gap, not sure. I would say stock guessing. Are the vavles HP or stock? I need the remote start for a compression test. The P.O has penciled in the car manual the following for valve adjustment for the Isky cam,
-Inlet .019" -exhaust .021" These seem very large. Do you think there correct? Would imagine there very noisey. ![]() |
