Harry Pellow

Could someone with knowledge of his book give me an idea of what one would pay for this used in good condition? Thanks for your time.

"Whatever the market will bare." Meaning one could go for hundreds, unless you are a collector of 912/356 books and etc. I would probably pass on one. His books are also on CD.

Harry was best known in the 356 ranks. He was also a contributor to the 356 Registry Magazine. Harry had a great since sense of humor and it showed in his articles and books. Outside of the 356 ranks, Harry was almost unknown.

Harry was a great believer in the 050 distributor and Weber carburetors. He even designed a cam so that they could work together. At the time, the 050 was German built, and a very cheap alternative to the 022 and Webers could also be purchased new. To rebuild a 022 and solexs was very costly. Now days the 050 is built in China and the Webers are no longer built in Europe. So some of Harry's recommendation will be out of dated, especially the use of the 050 distributor.

A couple of very good books for the 912 owner are " The Complete Porsche 912 Guide By Duane Spencer", The orange "Porsche 912 Handbook" Also there's the factory Porsche 912 engine book" all of these can be had for less, than the mark up, that people will be asking for the ABC book.

Wow, when did Spain secede from Europe?

Jaems, Thanks for your reply. I do have the Duane Spencer book. Just wondered about Harrys. I came across one but is expensive. Thanks for your time.

I sold a clean copy of The ABCs (and 912s) of Porsche Engines at the L.A. Lit Swap for $200. Secrets of the Inner Circle usually goes for more.
