Hello all,
I just received a e-mail from Gordon at RPM Books, Duane Spencer's 912 Handbook will ship any day. If it's anything like the 356 Book Mr. Spencer wrote it should be a real asset to 912 owners: www.rpmautobooks.com Chas. 69/912 |

Thanks C. Clark,
I am restoring a 67' 912 and I maybe putting a 74' 911 engine in it. I will defintely need help then. I posted a message earlier about "Positive Ground" The person before me installed a red cable on the ground side. I did not want to hook up a battery until I asked someone. I was told that it was probably negitive ground. I am going to try it out this weekend, wish me luck. I need to get the 356 engine running first, before I sell it. Thank you for your help...... This forum is GREAT!!! Steve in Texas..... ![]() |

Steve,
My 67 is exactly the same way. a short red cable leading to chassis ground. Just trust me and attach it to the negative terminal of the battery. Its a negative ground configuration. I really need to fix this as i work in electronics and it drives me nutz every time I look at it. Trust me though, the electrons won't know the difference. best, Morrie |
