912 cylinder kit

What cylinderkit is the best for a 1967 912 ?

I have looked at this 83.5mm big bore kit, but it has a 11.5:1 CR - Isn't it a bit to much for pumpgas ? Any experience with that kit ? JE pistons should be very good, I hear !

Porsche Parts Piston and Cylinder Set, 83.5mm, all 356's/912 (50-69)

But if this kit ain't no good, what kit can You guys then recommend ?

Thanks

You might also try:

NLA Limited: NLA Limited : Big Bore Piston/Cylinder Set

Theirs is about $700 for a 356C which will work on your 912.

or Shasta Designs: Piston and Cylinder Sets

I think Shasta's big bore kit is 9:1 or 8.5:1 Still very expensive but worth it.
