Engine Rebuild update

Its moving along, I have parts on both ends of the Country, CA and VA, I got the carbs rebuilt, 32mm chokes 3.5 seconds, 130main 190cor 50id and F7's, Ill start with this. got the cam and lifters back, its a 7308 (Vic's) grind. Finished the cover for full flow oil, I hope to solid mount the filter to the engine sideways below the oil pump cover to an alum mount and use 1/2 in hard alum lines. Now Just waiting for the crank, rods and heads/rockers to return, will Keep you updated. I have everything else ready to go, JE 9.25 P&c's bearings gaskets etc. I also rebuilt the fuel pump. I dont know if anyone has fixed these but mine have always leaked oil around the shaft seal and out the hole. I have new seals to fix this, They dont give you these in a rebuild kit, but they are 6X10X2mm seals and easy to replace.

Porsche Crest rebuild

Craig,
Did you alter the 3rd piece yourself for the full flow system? I planning on that this winter, any tips or advice on how you tapped the piece would be helpful.
Looking good,
Chas.

I tapped the cover myself, 3/8 pipe and using dash 8 fittings which will still gives me a .410 opening, the cover to engine is only .385 I got the oil cover plate from Vic at 356enterprises.com also tapped 3/8/ pipe. I waz going to drill and tap the original pump cover but I just did'nt seem as thick as it should be. I tapped and plugged the hole inside the pump with a 14x1.25 i think, then threaded an alum rod, screwed the plug in with loctite and grinded smooth, real easy with the 14mm tap, you dont have to drill out the hole any, just tap it. And Max Well? I only keep Max up to remind me of my drinking days long ago.@*%& or what I can remember of them...
