912 fun

I finally got my 912 together and running, sort of.
Love the car and like driving it and beg the wife to go for a long drive memorial day.
The fuel pump quits and we walk a mile and a half to buy a gas can and tape and gas and drive 35 miles home like this,

I have had 9/12's forever and there is something about the usability of these cars that for lack of words is remarkable... broke my accelerator cable and walked over to the nearby drug store and bought some string..... tied the sting to my engine linkage and ran the sting threw the quarter window and up to the front seat were I worked the linkage by hand to easily drive home....
