Neat Detailing Tool

Santa brought me this neat rotary or reciprocating detailing tool. It's called a "Dart Model DT2000-08.

Made by:
Witon Tool Co.
300 S. Hicks Rd.
Palatine, IL 60067.

Don't know what it costs.

Ron,

Based on the company address that seems to be just around the corner from you. Is this something that was purchased at a local store or a national chain??

Looks like it could be the Dremel tool of detailing......

You are quite right they are very close to my home and I was surprised at the location of the Manufacturer . It also said made in Mexico.

I tried to call the company this morning and the opeator said there was no listing for a Witon Tool Co. in Palatine, IL. They could have moved (to Mexico?) or gone out of business! The Instructions have an 800 number on them, when I get home tonight I'll get the number and call it.

Who knows, I may have the only one in existance. I fooled around with it last night and did not realize it is also a two-speed tool. Two-speeds in rotary and two-speeds in reciprocating. Neat.

I have a Dremel tool also but this Dart is bigger.

The shafts are 1/8" square so getting extra tool bits may be a problem.

Santa bought this one at a local retail store.

Ron

Thanks,
Ron

Craig:
Here is the story:
The manufacturer is "Wilton Tool" not Witon. They are in the process of being purchased. The Tool can be found at QBC.com (home shopping), Home Depot, Lowes or Ace Hardware. You can call customer service at 877-328-7200 for more info. They said the retail price was around $60.00. Extra bits are also availiable.

Good luck,
Ron
