Question Electrical question

Okay, this is weird. When I apply the brakes, the front right parking light comes on (the right brake light stays off). Left side brake lights, and all other lights, work fine.

I think it's unrelated, but both the turn signal indicators blink when I used the turn signals, though the turn signals are working fine. I think it has to do with an improper ground somewhere, but I can't seem to find where.

Any ideas?

Part one solved

Upon closer examination of the wiring diagram, I see how the right front parking light is coming on.

The power to the right brake light comes from the left brake light. For some reason the power was bypassing the lamp and traveling back along the right rear parking lamp (i.e., same lamp unit as the brake light) power wire. This traces up to the right front parking lamp.

Removal of the rear right lamp assembly to ensure all the connections were secure and the same for the related ground wire and viola!

Still having the double blinking signal indicator...

I had the same problem with my car.

My fix included:
Taking off the turn signals.
Cleaning up the connector and making them connect more firmly. Over the years the spring loaded connectors loose their spring.

I had a bunch of minor electrical problems and I spent a few hours going over every connection (especially the fuse box) and making sure it was clean and making good contact.
