Question Wevo 916 setup

Hi Folks,

I've been looking through some of the old posts, considering converting to the 915 tranny in my car while it's all apart. Around Dec., Brad mentioned that Wevo was introducing a very correct, well-engineered setup for installing a 915. Since then, it doesn't look like there has been any info posted about it. Has anyone gotten the scoop? Anyone installed it? My car is an original 6, so I'd prefer not to do any irreversible modifications. I'm eager to get some news.

Thanks!

We have completed the first 2 production kits, with another 11 sets of parts on the way, delivery in about 4 weeks.
The Proto unit (pre-production) has been in 2 test cars, one 3.5l track car, one 3.6l road car and is racking up the miles without issue.
We are pre-selling the next 11 kits and have 5 left wihtout names on them.
The kit can be installed without any irreversible modifications, perhaps with the exception of some mufflers. We have 2 small cylindrical bosses an the very rear of the housing that are 28mm further rearward than any point of a 901 transmission, the interference will be exhaust installation specific.
Do any 914 guys know or have opinions about how this will impact on the muffler??
The first kits should have beeen installed already, but we are waiting for the customers transmissions to arrive at Windrush so we can perform the installation under scrutiny.

Hayden,

I called you about a month ago about your upcoming 901 shifter. I told Brad about it and asked him to install the unit once it it out. Then Brad Roberts called you and spoke to you apparently for an hour about the unit. How is the testing going? How close are you to production? Do I need to be on a list for purchase?

Douglas,

We started shipping production version of the 901 Shifter kits this week, Chad Plavan has his and a couple of others are in transit.
We have another half dozen on the shelf from the first shipment, we can ship immediately if you like.

Regards

Hayden; I've been trying to connect to your web site to get more info on the 901 shift kit but am getting an error message. Is the server down?

Please try again on Friday.
