oil pressure piston
I bought a 2.0 liter case at a swap meet the other day and when I got home I discovered that it had two oil pistons. One was in the right place in the front under and the other was on the left side about two thirds down the side and a little smaller than the front one. My question is this a porsche case or a VW case. I looked through all my parts books and can not find any parts for the second piston, spring or cap with sealing washer. The number on the case starts with G. What is it

I think the second piston was added in the 73 model year. Earlier cases only have the one valve, later have two. I believe that a number of VW applications also had two, though.
GA, GB, and GC are all 914 two-liter cases. Others that start with G are not. --DD
