I was at the pick-a-part today. I noticed a 1985 Toyota MR2 and pulled the front trunk seal from it. Hmmmm....the rubber still feels new. I bought it for $3. Got home and it fits the rear trunk perfectly. One seal will be enough to fit the sides and back of the rear trunk (I needed to trim/shorten it about 1 foot). I am going back to get another MR2 seal for the front of the rear trunk (by the engine bay).
The seal fits perfectly and is nice and tight. Took me less than 2 minutes to trim and install. Thought I'd share it with you all as your current seal may feel like mine...hard plastic rather than soft rubber. Cheers.
