HELP -- cooling fan retaining bolts

What the heck kind of tool is needed to remove the bolts that retain the cooling fan on my 1.7L ? It looks like a torx head with twice as many points? Is there any easily obtainable tool that will work?

M8 "triple square", same as the CV joints. Clean the heads out as well as you can before you try loosening the bolts.

Pelican sells the tool, so do most VW Bug shops--they use the same CV joint bolts.
