050 distributor value
Guys - I have a NOS 050 Bosch dizzy. I recall that these are NLA. The one in my car was rebuilt and has been working great. So this NOS one is just a spare. Wondering what it's worth these days. Any ideas?
Thanks.

If NOS I would think $250 and maybe more ,I have a collection of Bosch dizzys but never worked on one of these so not really not 100%.

I’m rebuilding my 2L type 4 with a scat cam and twin carb Webers and a 009 dizzy. I’ve done the same on another engine. Forgot to mention bursch exhaust. The car had great acceleration and power. Why don’t you think an 009 is a good application? |

In my experience, a Type 4 with Webers performs much better with a 050. Now that's a gross generalization. There are myriad variables. But I've fiddled with a variety of recipes and that is my clear experience.

If I go with a 050 on my T4, twin Weber’s, scat cam and bursch exhaust would there need to be mods done on the 050 or is it a drop in and go?

You will always have to monkey with jetting and timing when you go down this path. And advance curve manipulation. And plugs etc.
