Clear SIDEMARKER lens set on Ebay

OK I have seen this asked a bunch and the "Hey look whats on Ebay" stuff gets old sometimes but this guy does not have a bid yet!

I have seen him try to sell smoked lenses to no avail. Perhaps the clear rear lenses are not far off.

Im not interested but someone may want to fire off an email to see if he will do the rears as well.

Might help if I include the link

Hmmmm, might go well w/ my Italian front turn signal lenses. Ehh, I'll probably just remove the reflectors and fill in the holes all nice like

Nathan: I'm with you. I like the look without any side markers. The side markers look clunky. But that said, if I have to have side markers I like the clear ones best.

Rich: Thanks for the heads-up.

A related question. I vaguely remember someone saying that you can turn your colored lenses clear by soaking them in acetate or some other solvent. I would like to do that to my current side markers. Anybody know about this for sure?

I know FOR A FACT is (or if.. if you prefer) you soak your side markers, or any plastic off of your car in acetone, MEK, or any solvent..

Yeah, it'll be clear.. you won't be able to hold them without a glass, or metal cup either.

The solvent trick only works with those lenses that are coated.

Some years/OEMs have plastic that is colored thruout its thickness. Over the years I have broken worn out lenses to verify this and the solvent does nothing to those lenes.
