914 2.0 L heads left or right

Rebuilding my 2.0 type 4 in the 914. Does it matter which head goes on which side?

Thanks in advance.

The head with the threaded hole for the CHT sensor goes on the right side of the engine. (That's the passenger's side as installed in the 914.) Putting the heads on the other side mostly means you have to put an extra hole in the engine tin and run an extender wire for the CHT signal.
